10/17/23: Version 0.0.3 Release

Hey CTMOD community!

We have been working away at more features for CTMOD! I am most excited about one of which I'm very passionate about and I'd like to highlight:

Feature Highlight: Tracker Module Music Support (XM/IT/S3M/MOD)

If you're not familiar with tracker module music files, they are similar to MIDI, except essentially the sound font is embedded in the file, allowing the creator absolute control of the sound, as well as really awesome features. It also unlocks the ability to produce hours of music in less than a megabyte, or even some kilobytes if desired (think NES chiptunes). It is akin to the same tech that drove music in video games on classic consoles such as NES, SNES, Sega, and PSX. The technology has been used in many games of the past, some of the most standout being Deus Ex (original),  You can learn more about module music here. There are also huge reservoirs of module music on sites like The Mod Archive.

I know it can be a little confusing, how the name "module" or "mod" is used in a lot of contexts, including this very project, where "mod" generally refers to "modification". If you're confused, or don't want to use this feature, that's okay; the game still can read and play OGG files!

Go ahead and head on over to the downloads page, and find Version 0.0.3 available for Windows 64-bit.

As always, I sincerely appreciate you checking out CTMOD, and I hope you have fun! If you build any cool assets for the game, feel free to drop by the discord or hit me up on social media, and we'll see if we can work together!
